Welcome to Mother Seton Academy
Dear Parents, Friends and Followers of Mother Seton Academy,
Jesus said, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” ~Matthew 17:20-21
A mustard seed is very small; it is about the size of the head of a needle. Jesus tells us that if we have even that little amount of faith there is nothing we cannot do. God works in mysterious ways. Faith simply believes God, no matter what He says, even if we can't see anything yet.
You can find Mustard trees in many places in the world. As small as the seed is, the trees can grow up to 20 feet tall and 20 feet wide. The tree can grow in any kind of climate. The mustard seed is also a sign of faith. If the tree is cut down a bit, it can grow back again. That is how our faith works as well. Jesus may prune us and if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, He will help us grow and be stronger than we could ever imagine. Regardless of where we are planted we can still grow.
God can do amazing things! He doesn’t always do what we might want Him to do. All we need is faith as small as a mustard seed to trust and believe that God will bless us and lead us on this journey. Believe! “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24) God will help our faith grow. Jesus said the Kingdom of God is like a mustard tree that starts small but when it grows, birds come to nest in its branches. The same goes for our faith, I believe.
In many ways we are very blessed; God is giving us an opportunity to see our faith in action as together we grow Mother Seton Academy! We need to trust that God is doing what He sees best for us, for our students, our parents, our faculty and staff. He will take us out of our comfort zone and help us build something new and beautiful! Together we have many talents that will help Mother Seton Academy grow into a strong community. Although our faith may be as small as a mustard seed, remember the mustard seed doesn’t stay small. We don’t want our faith to stay small either! Let’s plant the seed for one another so that we might serve the Lord and grow in faith. “Faith is believing that you already have what you are hoping for.”
“Christians who grow in the Lord Jesus Christ shine for God's glory. They shine like lights in the night sky, guiding others to what is right according to God's word. “ JB Cachila
Enjoy a Blessed summer! See you soon!
